Zack joined the lab in Fall 2024 as a Biomedical Engineering student in the PhD program at Vanderbilt University. He graduated from Murrah High School in Jackson, MS, and The University of Southern Mississippi with a BS in Polymer Science and Engineering with a minor in Chemistry. During undergrad, Zack conducted research under Dr. Tristan Clemons, focused on the biomedical application of polymers. In the Clemons Lab, Zack completed an Honors Thesis, “Suppressing Reactive Oxygen Species via Application of Antioxidant Supramolecular Polymers,” highlighting his work with peptide amphiphiles and their potential therapeutic properties. As a graduate student in the Wilson Lab, Zack aims to contribute to the advancement of cancer immunotherapy through the development of vaccines.
Outside of the lab, Zack enjoys working out, playing and watching basketball, video games, and spending time with family and friends. He’s also conducting a PhD Scrapbook TikTok series!
