Nihesh completed his undergraduate and master’s degrees in Chemistry in India. His Ph.D. is from the University of Chicago, where he did research on vaccine adjuvants for subunit vaccines in the Esser-Kahn lab. After his time there, he worked in a biotechnology company, focusing on the development of immunotherapy treatments for autoimmune diseases. In December 2025, he joined the Wilson Lab, where he is currently developing peptide-based immunotherapy for cancer. Outside of work, Nihesh is a follower of Manchester United football club and the Warriors NBA team.
