Jack is a PhD student in the Interdisciplinary Materials Science program beginning in the Fall of 2023. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. As an undergraduate, Jack participated in research with the Microtechnology, Medicine, and Biology Lab, under the direction of Dr. David Beebe and working closely with Dr. María Virumbrales-Muñoz, designing microfluidic tumor-on-a-chip models of renal cell carcinoma and triple-negative breast cancer. Jack joined the Wilson Lab in May of 2024 after rotated through various labs within his first year at Vanderbilt. His focus is on developing materials for the modulation of immune cells, utilizing synthetic receptors for material interactions and programmed cellular action.

Outside of lab, Jack enjoys rock climbing, cooking, and exploring new outdoor spots in Tennessee.
