Anya joined the Wilson lab in July 2024 as a postdoctoral scholar. She completed her BS in Biological Engineering at Cornell University in 2017, with a minor in Biomedical Engineering. As an undergraduate, she conducted research on colorectal cancer cell signaling and hydrogel co-encapsulation techniques as models of the microbiome. Anya went on to earn an MS and PhD from Duke University as an NSF GRFP fellow. Her doctoral research, under the advisement of Dr. Ashutosh Chilkoti, exposed key principles of avidity in drug delivery systems, both as a tool for tumor-targeted delivery and controlled drug release. In the Wilson lab, Anya’s research focuses on developing protein-drug conjugates for targeted, cell subset specific immunotherapy.
Outside of the lab, Anya enjoys exploring the local area with her husband and dog, cooking, and scrapbooking.
