Kate Young

Kate grew up in Boston, MA, where she also attended Northeastern University. During her undergrad, she invested time researching in an industry setting with companies like Lyndra Therapeutics and Boston Scientific. While earning her MS in Bioengineering, she worked with Dr. Heather Clark on the optimization of long-circulating, optical microsensors for continuous in vivo measurements of sodium ions. Most recently, Kate worked at Beam Therapeutics in Cambridge, MA, researching novel LNP delivery systems for extrahepatic targets of base editing technologies.

In her free time, she enjoys cooking and trying new foods, reading, and biking.
